Winstar Game Guide
The Winstar video slot game from Blueprint Gaming is a bright and colourful video slot that attempts to mix old-fashioned one-armed bandits with modern video play. It has been one of the most popular Blueprint games since it was first released in land-based casinos many years ago.
The game's interface is simple, clean, and as straightforward as can be. The background resembles a deep purple representation of outer space above which floats a 5 x 3 configuration of transparent reels. Symbols include traditional playing card symbols from 10-Ace (as lower paying symbols) and numerous coloured stars as higher-paying symbols. Any of symbols can be stacked on any spin. Stacked symbols increase your winning potential by giving you more opportunities to match like symbols.

How to Play the Game
The simplicity of Winstar is one of its most attractive features. In order to play, you simply determine how much you want to wager per pay line before clicking the green 'Spin' button to start the reels in motion. Wagering is a matter of adjusting the total bet as displayed underneath the reels, using the corresponding + and - buttons.
Note that Winstar is a 10-pay line game in which all pay lines are fixed. That means a total wager of 1.00 credits would equal a line bet of 0.10 credits per line. Credits are represented in the currency you are playing with.
Most online video slots offer multiple ways spinning; Winstar is no exception. The green 'Spin' button initiates a single spin and no more. This is the preferred option if you like to adjust your wager prior to each spin. Otherwise, you can click 'Auto Play' instead. Clicking this button will open a new dialogue box in which you can configure your options for automatic spinning. When you're done, click the button to initiate the automatic spins. Note that all automatic spins use the same total bet.
The Star symbols in various colours are the ones you want to keep an eye on in Winstar. They pay out the most. Indeed, the most valuable symbol is the Silver Star. It offers the highest value whenever it is used to achieve a winning combination. More importantly, though, landing five Silver Stars on a single pay line will pay an award 500 times your original wager.
Wild, Bonus, and Scatter Symbols
Where most online video slots have at least one Wild and one Bonus or Scatter symbol, Winstar is different. Its only special symbol is the multi-coloured Winstar symbol that spins in place. It acts as a neither a Wild nor Bonus symbol. Instead, it does something rather unique whenever it lands during gameplay.
The special function of the spinning Winstar symbol is to trigger the game's only bonus feature, a feature by the same name. This feature is very simple in its function. Whenever the spinning Winstar symbol appears on the reels, it appears stacked over multiple positions.
Those symbols will spin for a short while before stopping to reveal like symbols in all corresponding reel positions. So, for example, all three positions on reel 2 may begin as spinning Winstar symbols. Once they stop, they might all transform into Silver Stars. This feature does not always generate wins, but it certainly increases your chances dramatically.
Winstar is a game that does not require spectacular 3D graphics or lots of bonus features to keep your attention. All those things are good, but Winstar relies on old-fashioned simplicity and a rather unique bonus feature to keep players engaged. Some have said Winstar is addictive. You will not know unless you play yourself.
